Day 30 (a few days late)

Holidays kinda distracted me from taking new pics, but here they are!
Turbo Fire has really been my "soul mate workout" and I am loving every minute of it!

If you are interested in losing weight/getting fit this year, please send me a message at kat_brunnegraff at yahoo [dot] com and I will help you find your soul mate workout too!

Progress?

So I have been working out everyday, eating a pretty balanced diet, but I think I need to cut my carbs. I've hit a plateau in my weight loss, the numbers on the scale just aren't moving, even though I'm still losing inches.

I rarely eat dairy, (I have been eating some lately, despite my dairy allergy and I think it may be effecting my weight loss) I eat fruits and veggies daily, but I eat waaaay more bread/noodles etc... than I should be. Even with only eating 1900 calories a day, my scale hasn't budged. Maybe I should drop it down to 1800 a day.

I'm seeing muscle definition starting to emerge from beneath my fat, it's so strange to look down right now, my tummy is still there but it's way smaller and I can actually see my legs again! My legs are vanishing rapidly, and the muscles in them are reappearing, and I have knee caps again! Amazing! My calves are regaining definition and my legs are looking more and more like legs and less like cankles.

My chest fat is reducing, causing my collar bone to reemerge, my breast bone is becoming visible and the smallest roll on my stomach just below my chest is vanishing. This is resulting in a very strangely shaped me since underneath that roll of fat are two much larger rolls, that are smaller than when I started but still... there. :/

My fat areas are becoming deflated, but the skin was stretched so big it is making certain areas seem to stay the same even though my measurements have shrunken. I have heard stories that if you eat a clean diet, with no processed foods, in addition to exercise that you can rid yourself of saggy skin and I'm hoping to do that for myself soon. I do NOT want to have skin removed with surgery, that sounds like an awful and painful idea. Unfortunately right now, that diet would be very hard to maintain due to cost. It's not cheap to buy high quality meat and veggies/fruits. I might have to suck it up and do it anyways, even if it is only for just one month.

I lost 20 pounds in one month of doing the Caveman/Paleo diet without exercise, I'm thinking that if I was exercising with the diet that I would drop a lot more than that.
I hope to be able to do this soon, as I'm tired of this plateau.

That's all for my update. Long and hopefully not boring, new pics in 3 days!

Shakeology

I want to tell you a little bit about this awesome product, from my personal experience to a few people that I have met who use it.

My personal experience is this, I was given a free packet from a friend, who said TRY THIS You'll LOVE IT! And so I did, and I did love it! It tastes like Hot chocolate! It's delicious and I hear it is TOP NOTCH if you add Milk and a Banana to it. However, I sadly cannot use this product as it contains dairy and I am very allergic to dairy. While this is discouraging for me, to have tried something so yummy and while I might not be able to drink it, you still can!

I have witnessed with my own eyes people who replaced just one meal a day with Shakeology and have lost 20 pounds in just 2 months! These people were unable to exercise at the time and it gave them the ability to begin working out because they were more able to move due to the weight loss.

I also met a man who lowered his cholesterol by 96 points with Shakeology in 3 months, and he is now off all of his medication PLUS he lost weight! He was thrilled and I was too because it's so encouraging and exciting to hear about people being freed from having to take medications!

Now that you have heard my side of the story, check out this awesome video from the makers of Shakeology!

Flexibility

Day one, I could not touch my toes, I could touch my knees and that was a stretch for me.

Week 1 over, I could touch my shins but anything more than that and I was ~dying~, it hurt so bad.

Week 2 over, and I could FINALLY touch my toes again! I haven't done this in years!

Week 3 is over today, and tonight was the 40 minute stretch class. Not only can I reach the floor but I can reach in between my legs and am working on being able to get my upper body completely in between my own legs.

I've improved so much in my flexibility in other ways as well, I can hold plank position for several minutes where as Day one I could barely hold it for more than a few seconds. There are other things too, I just can't think of them now as it's late. More on flexibility later. :)

Turbo Fire Week 3

I have just completed my 3rd week of Turbo Fire! I am LOVE LOVE LOVING this workout. The first two weeks were a real learning process, and I was sore every day to the point of sleeping in waaaay longer than I usually do, it was my out of shape bodies way of recovering from the intense work I was forcing upon it.

I have so far lost a total of 10 pounds (6 pounds that I gained at Thanksgiving) and 4 others that were not from thanksgiving food lol

I'm down a total of 14 inches so far!

Here are my progress pics.

Day 1 vs. Day 21 :)
